The 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) officially gets underway today, January 9, 2026, with exciting action lined up for cricket fans. This fourth season of the WPL promises intense competition after an eventful mega-auction in November, which saw squads reshaped and leadership groups refreshed. Defending champions Mumbai Indians Women will begin their campaign tonight against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women in what’s expected to be a thrilling opener.


🏏 Full WPL 2026 Schedule

The tournament runs from January 9 to February 5, 2026, featuring 22 matches played across Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. The five teams will face each other in a double round-robin format. At the end of league play:

  • The top team will advance directly to the final.

  • The second and third-placed teams will contest an Eliminator on February 3 to decide the other finalist.

  • 9 Jan: Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru – 7:30 PM IST

  • 10 Jan: UP Warriorz vs Gujarat Giants – 3:00 PM IST

  • 10 Jan: Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals – 7:30 PM IST

  • 11 Jan: Delhi Capitals vs Gujarat Giants – 7:30 PM IST

  • 12–17 Jan: More league clashes involving all five teams. 

Vadodara (BCA Stadium):

  • 19–30 Jan: Remaining league matches.

  • 3 Feb: Eliminator – 2nd vs 3rd place

  • 5 Feb: Final – League leader vs Eliminator winner
